I felt that making topics about games that we're not sure any of the other members are interested in simply clutters the archive. Therefore, as the name implies, this thread is for posting information about games that you, fellow members, are interested in. Post the name of the game, the platforms it's available for, information about it, and perhaps a trailer.
Dragon Age: Origins
PS3/Xbox 360/PC
A dark fantasy tale by Bioware, known for their story-driven games such as Knights of the Old Republic and Mass Effect; Dragon Age allows you to choose from several different classes with different origin stories and you'll be able to make decisions that shape the world around you. Dragon Age is a real-time strategy game, like KotOR, therefore you won't repeatedly press a button to make your character hack and slash at an opponent. You have control over the party, your character and three NPCs, and you decide who you want the character you're controlling to attack. There are special moves you can learn that have different effects on enemies and mages can chain together spells for more deadly combos, such as using a grease spell that slows enemies down and then hurling a good 'ol fireball. The combat is real time, thus you won't be taking turns like in a Final Fantasy game.

That sounds interesting.
The only game coming out soon that I'm interested in is HeartGold- well, unless Fire Emblem 11 hasn't come out yet. _________________

I assume they're both for the DS. Is HeartGold a Pokemon game? _________________ "You say you feel so down/Everytime I turn around/You say you should've been gone by now

Yeah, they're both for DS and yeah, HG is a Pokemon game. It'll be my last one, too. _________________

I think that it's also ES's last Pokemon game. Hopefully you'll both enjoy it and be content with it being your last of the franchise. _________________ "You say you feel so down/Everytime I turn around/You say you should've been gone by now

I have to say, I liked Dragon Age Origins. It felt kind of FFish to me, with the pausing to select moves, but the game can definately keep you entertained. _________________

Indeed. Though I find the pausing to select moves interesting and I think it's a good addition. There are a few problems with Dragon Age, but it's overall a very fun game and, in my opinion, if you liked Oblivion you'll like Dragon Age. Also, if you turn in two games at Gamestop you can get it for $20. _________________ "You say you feel so down/Everytime I turn around/You say you should've been gone by now

Yes, but I'm not willing to sell any of my current games, plus money isn't a huge problem to me. _________________

Argh, well it's still useful information. Has anyone heard of Mass Effect? _________________ "You say you feel so down/Everytime I turn around/You say you should've been gone by now
