What's everybody's favorite generation? And why?

PLEASE:
  • POST which you picked, don't just pick and leave
  • Only pick for one or two, even if you like them all the same.
  • Vote generation 3 if your favorites are FireRed & LeafGreen, but you didn't like the first generation

By the way:
I picked Gen. I and Gen. II. Generations III and IV seemed a little... stale to me. I don't know why... It's not that I'm getting too old for it, because I feel the same joy if I pick up my Generation II cartridges.

II. ((S/C)) Silver was my first Pokemon game I got. Although I'm sad you can't play the G/S/C anymore since there batteries ran out.

III ((E/FR)) and IV ((D/Pt)) would probably be a close tie for a second...

Gen. II & IV for me. I loved my gold and silver versions, and the region was awsome. I'm going to say that Platinum might become my new favorite though. (I'm getting the limited edition Giratina fig.!)

(What, the figs? You have to reserve a copy of Platinum. Its only like $5.00, and the money goes toward the game. (So when you get it its like $35.00 or so....))

I and IV. I was incredibly addicting. But I lost my Red version and never found it. I cried.

But Version IV was very good. I liked it.

Same with me. Even though in hindsight, Generation I just seems so much more fun. I think I was under the charm of the old graphics, cuz the remakes never brought me as much joy as the originals.
