Yup. Speaking of, one time, our conductor --Mr. K.-- wasn't thinking when he was talking, and the trombone section (being horrible, like always) couldn't keep up with the tempo, so he yelled at them to watch him beat his white stick in the air instead of burying their faces in their music for the whole song.. roflmao!

No, he's actually really nice. He's only yelled at us like twice the entire year (including all of band camp)

Our old teacher, the one we had last year, was tough. He was very tough... but he was probably the best band teacher I've ever seen.

That's funny. I have an Art Teacher like that. She's only been teaching for one year, and she's really naive, but super nice 'cause she's oblivious and doesn't realize the crap people are doing all around her...

Well actually Mr. K.'s not naive at all, he's been teaching for a long time, he was first chair trumpet in the state concert band when he was a junior, and he's not much short of a genius when it comes to improving us and making us sound better, and he's also got a great sense of humour.

But Mr McKay got way more things done, and he was amazing when it actually came to teaching. And it was hilarious because he kept a huge bag of pez in his office and when he'd get worked up he'd go and pop pez. lol

My band teacher didn't pay much attention to us and I just got worse at my instrument throughout the year until it sounded like crap.

Well, there are more than a hundred people in that class. And he doesn't play every instrument.

Wow. One hundred people. Yeah, I don't blame him for focusing on other people, it's sensible. I've always had trouble with the clarinet as blowing into it was always difficult, so I think the paino will be much easier. Plus I have pretty good fingers thanks to my skill with the keyboard (computer).
