Thanks, I also think the newer version is much better overall.
Epics are tricky, but I'm starting to get the hand of it! _________________ "You say you feel so down/Everytime I turn around/You say you should've been gone by now

| I still don't like the intro very much. If I was just browsing the forum and I happened to come across it, it wouldn't catch my interest. It is hard though. That's why like no one(Including Abyss) ever posts in my epics. |

He's got five. Off the top of my head I can think... Nothing is Something, eh... I can't remember anymore. _________________

| Well... I always end up thinking of the ending before I finish it, and then I make it so glamorous I want to get there as quickly as possible. I make the epic boring just to get to the ending, and then I get bored of writing filler chapters, and I post less and less, and then eventually stop. |

Then what? One adventure for the entire epic? _________________

Or you could keep switching adventures, like every five chapters. Wouldn't be quite so fillery. _________________

Pretty much, yeah. An epic is a story. And a story is an adventure. With different adventures, you have different antagonists or protagonists, or supporting characters, even if they have some sort of common goal. But making it several stories will confuse, and won't let the reader have a real understanding when everything is over, contrary to having one main protagonist. |

But if you have nothing but that adventure it'll get boring. I prefer something more like '01, '04, or '09. _________________

Hm... well you can have different adventures... oh, I get what you're saying. Different adventures but the same antagonist. Okay. Gotcha! |

That's sort of how it was with Daarkhao (whom I will rename as Dairek, I like that name ). He acts as a mercenary and does several different jobs, but keeps on getting reminded of his past and how he's powerless to prevent it from happening again. The idea of having the same antagonist is sort of what I have for Ksharn, he manages to turn people into powerful maniacs or do something different, like with the Gryshiiv (plural of Gryshiv). _________________ "You say you feel so down/Everytime I turn around/You say you should've been gone by now

Made up characters that Banryx and Ceyrox know about. Though I don't think they know much about them... Oops. _________________ "You say you feel so down/Everytime I turn around/You say you should've been gone by now

| Well, you never tell us. And Dairek is too much of a human name. |

I agree with Banryx. Dairek is too human.

He wants to make them in a different epic. You're right Abyss, we don't know much about him. Mind explaining them a bit? :ha: _________________

I'll tell you what I know...
Daarkhao: A former Toa of Fire who used to be on a Toa team. Each member of the team had like two elements or something, and Ksharn, a Makuta, tricked Daarkhao into switching the one that wasn't fire for shadow. He became a Toa of Shadow Fire, and when one of his teamates pissed him off, he killed them all. I believe that's the story, although I'm sketchy on details.
Grishiiv: My favorite. They're a species of intelligent rahi. I know Abyss has one that's named Glishva, or something, and he makes weapons and has the ability to negate all elemental powers within a forty foot radius, I think?
