Alright, I've been working on this for a couple days,

I think the Empire needs to have a full economy. EO and Loki have made very good attempts at building one, but they have yet to be successful in creating a real economy.

So here is what I suggest:

We limit the number of forum buisnesses to 5 for now. This can be increased as we get more members.

One person will be each buisnesses. CEO and then others would be his employees should they request to be hired and the CEO hire them. Every time a sale is made, the money goes into a corporate bank account and then employees and the CEO both get their salaries weekly. The CEO would, of course, get the highest salary and employee salaries would go up for every month they worked there.

Employees would have to actually help with the buisness that week or they would not get paid.

Then we come to insurance, banks, and stock. There should be two stock markets (like we have in real-life America) and companies would have varying ammounts of stock available depending on how much money they have. Once a stock it created, it cannot be destroyed unless sold back to the company when they have already reached their stock limit. People could buy stock from the company and then sell it back for more money. They could also sell stock to other players. Companies may also buy stock in other companies and even sell their shares to each other and other players.

The formula for deciding how much stock a company has is: $1,000=100 stock available. This would also mean: 1 share=$10

Then we have banks and insurance. Their can be only 3 insurance companies and 3 banks at a time. They function like companies except that instead of selling things they either store money or provide recompense to players who lose battles.

Banks store money for a small bi-weekly fee. They also get 1 free share (stock) in any corporations who store their money at that bank.

EVERYONE must store their money at a bank.

Insurance companies pay a certain percentage of the money a player would otherwise have to pay when they lose a battle. However, this comes at a weekly fee. Plus, they can put a limit on how many battle they cover per month.

Players can have up to 3 jobs at a time and must have at least one (if they're active on the forums).

Everyone's money would reset to $5,000, or $7,000 for Lords/Master and $10,000 for the Emperor. Corporations would automatically start with $20,000, including banks (who store their money in their own vault).

I almost forgot to cover interest and battles.

For every $1,000 someone has in the bank, they gain an additional $100 per week. This money appears out of "nowhere." In other words, nobody has to pay them this money.

Players can still battle to gain or lose a predetermined amount of money by battling other players in video games. Other players can still bet on these battles to obtain money as well.

We really don't have enough people for this.

Money should only come through selling goods and winning fights. Stocks are absurd. Easy as that.

It's a bit fuzzy when it comes to insurance. I don't know if we should have it.

I think it should be less of an economy and more of a rewards points system.

You fight, you get points. When you sell something of value you get others points. You then redeem points to get stuff from the emporer or to buy new avatars.

This is actually part of a bigger reform I'm going to propose. But I like this system, and I think I have Loki's backing. We'll have to see.

But you can buy a rank.

It wouldn't be fair if someone ranked up because of a few lucky stocks.

No! the have to do something of value. Selling things is good, fighting is good, Stocks are not good.

We'll have to remove the ability to buy a rank, then.

And, if you noticed, stocks don't give much money. You have to buy tons of them to make money- that's the idea. You have to work to get money but if you do you will only get richer.

I don't think we should limit the number of buisnesses, as long as each person only gets profit from one. For instance, the auction house. I made it, but it is a non-profit organization. Only the seller gets money. Everyone has a share.

Those kind of things wouldn't be limited. Only things like Banner Shops, Banks, Insurance Companies, Avatar Shops, etc. would be limited.

But it would make getting money more interesting. AND it would prevent people from losing all their money because they have bad luck one day.

There's no real point in currency on this forum, you can't buy anything that's necessary. What your asking requires people getting several salaries and complicated dual stock mart systems. We'd also have to hire people who watch to make sure no one is cheating, sort of like the IRS. It would be way pointless and it would consume the forum. We're here to discuss things, not to make money. Is that reason enough for you?

Money doesn't matter. And it doesn't seem interesting to me, it just seems complicated. You need something simpler.
