Nice.  Maybe we can tar and feather him after my quiz humiliates him.

Okay, you can hate me all you want. And I will admit that I have been a little jerky lately. But to start off, Storms, you barely know me. You joined today and I rarely saw you on the old forum. I said that homeschooling wasn't as good as public school, and that public school isn't as good as private school. You're private schooled, so I don't see the problem. Maybe I'm insulting your friends, but we're all entitled to our opinion.

And here's the other thing. The quiz would be pointless, Storms, because I could look up all the answers online without you knowing. I probably wouldn't, but besides that, you may quiz me on what you're studying. You'd probably beat me because I'm not studying that, but I could quiz you on the Constitution (What I'm studying right now) and I'm willing to bet I could really whoop you. So, in all, its very pointless. I guess I'll be nicer from now on, but this is a warining to everybody.

I am very opinionated and stubborn. Almost everyone says I'm the most stubborn person at school, and they're probably right. I talk down on people a lot (Its sort of a habit, a bad one, though) and I can't help it. But I try to act mature, even when its hard. But to sum this incredibly long post up, if I disagree with you, I WILL come off as a jerk. No matter what.

Hmm...  He's a more worthy opponent than I thought...

And I knew about the quiz problem.  I was just betting you would either be honorable or lazy.

EDIT: And the private school people claimed I went to was actually a homeschool group.  Just an expensive one with lots of homework.  But I pulled out because I needed eye therapy and it was really just preventing me from getting rusty, not really teaching me.

Given my reputation, I would probably be lazy. And the problem with honor is, its kinda irrelevant. I would keep the honor from you guys if I never told you I cheated, and I would have more honor anyways than if I had taken the honest way because I would seem less stupid. Quite a conundrum.

It makes sense, but why couldn't you just be honorable to satisfy your conscience?

Well (correct me if I'm wrong.) But you're saying that if we don't know you haven't been honorable then you will be honorable in our eyes. You also say that since we have no way of prooving you're dishonesty that if you were to look smart you would look more honest.

Please, correct me if I'm wrong.

You're sorta right, Freeze, but now I'm confused.

And Storms, who says I have a consciense? Mwahahahahahahahahaahahahah!

I probably would do the honorable thing, for the record. And the honorable thing is cheating. Not really.

You were confusing. I probably just made it more confusing.

I just remembered that they don't teach philosophy or theology in the public schools...

That's the argument I'm making.  Many homeschoolers, like myself, study extra for fun.  It's us that thrive in this envirement, and outsmart by a longshot 99% of public school kids.

Yeah, (And not to get into an argument here) but parents or tutors that teach in homeschooling programs can't get the experience and training all the teachers at school get.

I must say, you'd be surprised (at the homeschool group I was in, some people there had been teaching actual classes for over a decade...)

And classics ARE good.  I learn quite a bit from them.  (Caesar's book, The Conquest of Gaul, in paticular).

I think I learn mostly from books. I can't fall asleep without reading a book, which is why my vocablury is so sophisticated at times. I hate having to dumb it down it school though, if I talked all smart, people would judge me. A bad thing about public school, peer pressure and being judged. Sigh.

Dr. Jekyll was good.  Haven't read the others...

Have you read the House of Seven Gables?

Two books I recommend. There not famous or anything, but they were really good. The first, House of Power and its sequel, Rivers of Fire. Both are great books. And luckily, so far I've resisted the Twilight phase. But I might give in next week, I have no book to read currently.[/I]

Animal Farm was awesome!
Frankenstein was nice.

And I've never heard of Seven Gables.
