TwilightI'm sure all of you know about the book series Twilight. Well, I know Ceyrox will call me gay for liking the book series, but I know several guys who like it a lot. The fact is, I like the book a lot. It's really intersting. I already finished the first one. I'm hoping to get the second one soon.

I will say I despise that series.
I immediately decided that I wouldn't read it when I heard about it, but know basically the entire storyline because I have two friends who are obsessed with it. One loves it. The other hates it. Result: I know most of the storyline.
While some of the stuff on Vamps is intriguing and I love the classic Vamp-Lycan war, the books overall generally suck. Terribly.

Hear hear! Newsflash, people: Vampires don't sparkle! Wow! How amazing! Even I, a person who hates Vampires and knows very little about them, know that!
Seriously, though, the series (from what I know) has very little intelligent plot line. Open your eyes, people! The first three chapters are about Bella complaining about how much she hates Washington. But it still manages to go steadily downhill from there! She meets some guy and decides, "Gee, this guy is rather handsome. I know! I'll fall 'deeply and irrevocably in love with him"! Wouldn't that be smart!"
Continue in this general train of thought for a hundred pages. Then, she's about to be hit by a car, when out of nowhere, Edward jumps out and lifts the car up with one hand, saving her. For the next hundred pages, she's wondering how he could have possibly done that, while on the back of the book it states clearly 'Edward was a Vampire'. Really suspenseful!
She finally figures it out, and after two hundred pages of "OMG I LOVE HIM!", another vampire strolls into town and randomly decides focus all his powers into killing her, when there are perfectly fine other people every way he turns.
Despite this information, he decides to weave an elaborate and drawn out plan to kidnap and feed on her. The storyline is starting to look up as she is lured into the trap, but no! You don't even get to see the final and climatic battle between Edward and the other Vampire, because Bella is unconscious!
Keep in mind, folks, that this is just the first book, and already Stephanie has proved her abysmal writing skills so thoroughly, it's drummed into your brain 'Stephanie Meyer is a horrible writer' so thoroughly, you could read on the surface of your skull. But she still manages to write three more books that get steadily worse!
Bottom line: stop reading Twilight before it's too late!

Wait... So the climatic battle is skipped? NO! I was hoping there would be SOME redeeming factor in the main storyline of the book...
Now I hate it even more.
And Loki, there are three more books already out.

You people know very little about the storyline. From what I've seen, none of you have read the whole book through. It's not a bad book, and you guys haven't even read it so how do you know? Your opinions won't even really matter to the millions who already love it... and Loki, she can write whatever she wants, that's the freedom of being a writer. And the books don't get progressively worse. I've read the first one, and I haven't read any others yet, but every single person I know that reads it says the second one is the best. In fact, you're the only people I've ever even heard of that have said it gets progressively worse.

Then why post, or agree with them? None of you have read it, and I'll be damned if more hippocrits become obsessed over how "gay" it is. It's a good book, no matter what you say. It was written well, and is of very good quality.

The girls out here are obsessed with it, even though Banryx is the first... No, second boy I've heard praise it. And the other kid is a bit... weird. As in emo except for being depressed and not actually cutting himself.
And I hear about it from people who have read it all the time. Even the ones who like it can't make it sound good...

I have NOT read the books, so I don't know much about the series. I have, however, accidentally read a fanfic about it and seen several trailers for the movie (dang Tivo didn't fast-forward!). The books seem ok (movie sucks), though a bit too romantic for me.

You saw the movie? I never saw it, but after reading the book I might want to.
And New Moon is definately better than Twilight. Way less Romance, and way more werewolves killing vampires. I find myself addicted to the book. I've had it for two days and I've already read 400 pages.

No, I haven't seen the movie. I've merely seen many trailers and read a review stating that the movie was less than mediocre [it sucked].
Or we can be, LYCANS! LYCANS, TONIGHT WE DINE IN UNDERWORLD! THIS. IS. TWILIGHT!

And my favorite character is a tie between Edward and Jacob... Edward's really cool, but Jacob is really awesome and not an asshole.
