I think the second one was better. And it has nothing to do with Silver being a playable character...err.... ._. crap

Really?  The first was a lot easier to use. In the second one it took me about a day to get used to the controls. They took out the dash, easy cornering, stats became difficult to understand, and more.

Yah, I hate how you couldn't boost! And you didn't have an air meter, what was up with that!

I guess having no air meter was better in a way, but the boost thing was very, very, very, very annoying. Anyway, the courses were a bit longer than the original ones, so if you were a noob, you'd get po'd.

The air meter was fun. It forced you to do tricks.

You haven't. Eh, you're not missing out on too much. While it had cool characters and courses, the controls were bad. You couldn't even boost anymore.

Not true, you can hold (L or R for the gamecube remote) to boost. You just don't want to use it as often as the boosts in the first game. The only thing I don't really like about the second is the fact you have to get a power up in order to attack. Plus, you can't use the cool short cuts.
