Fullmetal Alchemist was great, it still manages to beat Death Note as my favorite anime.

To Kaen's post about 5D's~ doesn't look much different to me besides the futuristic look and the monsters don't look as good.

Some anime are rather creative, smart, and dark. Such as DeathNote and FullMetal Alchemist.
