Since this thread appears to have vanished in my abscence, I am reposting it.
And now, guess the names of these three songs (three of my favorites):
Is this the real life?
Is this just fantasy?
Caught in a landslide,
No escape from reality.
Open your eyes, Look up to the skies and see,
I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy,
Because I'm easy come, easy go, Little high, little low,
Any way the wind blows doesn't really matter to me, to me.
Mama just killed a man,
Put a gun against his head, pulled my trigger, now he's dead.
Mama, life had just begun,
But now I've gone and thrown it all away.
Mama, ooh, Didn't mean to make you cry,
If I'm not back again this time tomorrow,
Carry on, carry on as if nothing really matters.
Too late, my time has come,
Sends shivers down my spine, body's aching all the time.
Goodbye, ev'rybody, I've got to go,
Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth.
Mama, ooh, I don't want to die,
I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all.
I see a little silhouetto of a man,
Scaramouche, Scaramouche, will you do the Fandango.
Thunderbolt and light'ning, very, very fright'ning me.
(Galileo.) Galileo. (Galileo.) Galileo, Galileo figaro
Magnifico. I'm just a poor boy and nobody loves me.
He's just a poor boy from a poor family,
Spare him his life from this monstrosity.
Easy come, easy go, will you let me go.
Bismillah! No, we will not let you go.
(Let him go!) Bismillah! We will not let you go.
(Let him go!) Bismillah! We will not let you go.
(Let me go.) Will not let you go.
(Let me go.) Will not let you go. (Let me go.) Ah.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
(Oh mama mia, mama mia.) Mama mia, let me go.
Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me, for me, for me.
So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye.
So you think you can love me and leave me to die.
Oh, baby, can't do this to me, baby,
Just gotta get out, just gotta get right outta here.
Nothing really matters, Anyone can see,
Nothing really matters,
Nothing really matters to me.
Any way the wind blows.
------------------------------------
Crazy,but that's how it goes
Millions of people living as foes
Maybe it's not too late
To learn how to love
And forget how to hate
Mental wounds not healing
Driving me insane
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train
I've listened to preachers
I've listened to fools
I've watched all the dropouts
Who make their own rules
One person conditioned to rule and control
The media sells it and you live the role
Mental wounds still screaming
Driving me insane
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train
I know that things are going wrong for me
You gotta listen to my words
Yeah
Heirs of a cold war
That's what we've become
Inheriting troubles I'm mentally numb
Crazy, I just cannot bear
I'm living with something that just isn't fair
Mental wounds not healing
Who and what's to blame
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train
I took my baby on a Saturday bang
Boy is that girl with you
Yes we're one and the same
Now I believe in miracles
And a miracle has happened tonight
But, if you're thinkin' about my baby
It don't matter if you're black or white
They print my message in the Saturday Sun
I had to tell them I ain't second to none
And I told about equality and it's true
Either you're wrong or you're right
But, if you're thinkin' about my baby
It don't matter if you're black or white
I am tired of this devil
I am tired of this stuff
I am tired of this business
Sew when the going gets rough
I ain't scared of your brother
I ain't scared of no sheets
I ain't scared of nobody
Girl when the goin' gets mean
Protection
For gangs, clubs, and nations
causing grief in human relations
It's a turf war on a global scale
I'd rather hear both sides of the tale
See, it's not about races
Just places
Faces
Where your blood comes from
Is were your space is
I've seen the bright get duller
I'm not going to spend my life being a color
Don't tell me you agree with me
When I saw you kicking dirt in my eye
But, if you're thinkin' about my baby
It don't matter if you're black or white
I said if you're thinkin' of being my baby
It don't matter if you're black or white
I said if you're thinkin' of being my brother
It don't matter if you're black or white
Ooh, ooh
Yea, yea, yea now
Ooh, ooh
Yea, yea, yea now
It's black, it's white
It's tough for them to get by
It's black, it's white, whoo
Lord Duality
I know the 1st two. Hint Hint, made by Ozzy and Queen...
Dread Abyss
Perhaps I should spoiler those? Anywho, the first one is obviously Bohemian Rhapsody. The second and third can be deduced by the lyrics; Crazy Train and Black and White respectively.
My favorite songs are hard to decide, but I'd guess they're: I Hate Everything About You by Three Days Grace, Mad World by Gary Jules, and Sin With a Grin by Shinedown.
Heartless Banryx
I probably like No more Sorrow by Linkin Park, Adam's song by Blink-182, and Into the Ocean by Blue October.
A hill of despair where the Milky Way appears,
the chilly breeze again fluttered my stole,
“Only once a year”
What does it feel like?
the tears flowed just from being replaced,
“Please let me see you tonight for sure”
these feelings that rode on a comet were yearning
Our promised meeting place
“It’s the same as always, right?”
Under cover of a cloudy sky,
if there aren’t any stars, let’s just become stars
while snuggling up to one another,
while promising each other,
“Don’t go” “Until I accept it”
Until the time when like Altair and Vega this lachrymal rain
of wanting to be more in love with you than yesterday ceases,
Oh MAGPIE, suspend a bridge,
connect us all!
A short hill where the Milky Way appears,
the landscape I look out over is different from what I’d imagined,
Have we moved forward since those times?
The answer isn’t NO
but it’s not enough,
A malicious “God” is testing us,
let’s fill up the empty seat and head to the next stage
When asked “What kind of relationship do you have?” I say “Maybe a little more than just friends”…but that’s not quite right either…
the word “bond” is more appropriate,
while fighting with each other,
while breaking off relations with one another,
“Are you okay now?” “It’s still impossible”
Because things will end this way
it’d be great if we could smile tomorrow too,
It’s heart-breaking, painful,
We don’t know when we’re going to die,
so willful Spica
To the stars send not “wishes” but rather “promises” to the milky Way
Listen to my monologue
“From now on, no matter how many years, let’s always be together” is all I want to say
swear Forever
repeat forever-
Our promised meeting place
“It’s the same as always, right?”
Under cover of a cloudy sky,
if there aren’t any stars, let’s just become stars
while making fun of each other,
while loving one another,
“Hey, where are you right now?” “Somewhere on Earth”
I’m not an astronaut so if it’s anywhere beneath the ozone, it’s no problem!
“Got it, I’ll be there soon”
Do I want to cause a disturbance until morning
in those important whereabouts?
Thats four. Its a fun song to listen to every now and then, but Disney's California Adventure plays it too often...
Lord Duality
They play that song
The second line makes a reference to marijuana.
NS_Venom
It does?
Lord Duality
Yes, "Smell of Cholitas in the Air"
Cholitas is directly translated into buds, okay, and they have confirmed this to be a marijuana reference.
General Ceyrox
Mine are for sure:
First Date Blink-182
The Rock Show Blink-182
Carousel Blink-182

Kaen, why is everthing Japanese with you? You really like Anime, and some strange looking Japanese movie, I thought you'd at least like American music.
Heartless Banryx
Lyrics are my favorite part of a song, so I couldn't really stand japanese music.
Lord Kaen
I'm tired of always hearing about American singers and actors always being high or stoned, or arrested for attacking their ex. It gets old. fast.
Besides, I'm part Asian, aren't I allowed to embrace my culture? lol
Heartless Banryx
I'm not doubting you, I'm sure its good music. I just like understanding the lyrics. And I'm not going to learn another language just to listen to good music.
Lord Kaen
lol. I can memorize things fast, then it leads to easy translating, which leads to learning other songs easier. ^^;
Heartless Banryx
Well I'm not that smart!
Lord Kaen
Pshaw, I'm hardly smart. I'm just hard-core in things I like. xD
Heartless Banryx
Can you read Japanese?
Lord Kaen
Depends. Mostly Romaji, but I'm learning Katakana and Kanji as well
Heartless Banryx
You'd be useful for Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix.
Lord Kaen
Lol. Then I'd be disposed of after, am I right?
Heartless Banryx
No, just neatly stored in stasis until I am in need of your skills once again.
General Ceyrox
Banryx... get my chloroform.

Dread Abyss
I'll lend you my shovel for when you're done with him...
I'll be seeing my first concert on the fourth of October; has anyone else seen a concert?
NS_Venom
Lets see...one, two, three! Three concerts! Though I will only admit I went to see Billy Joel and Elton John together.
Lord Duality
I went to a junky concert but a very unknown christian band.
Dread Abyss
*mutters something*
Interesting, how were the concerts you* went to? I definately think I'll enjoy the concert on the fourth, so I'm pretty excited.
*You applies to everyone, not just Freeze and 22.
Heartless Banryx
Thinking about concerts depresses me.
NS_Venom
Well, I'll just come out and say it. I went to an Nsync concert when they were big. My aunt had tickets for the 7th row, and they were in chicago, so we said, "Why not?" It was awsome, we could see just about everything! My second concert which I'm not embarrased to admiting I went to was Billy Joel, and Elton John together! (However, the seats sucked this time.) It was another awsome concert! Billy threw his mic, and the stand up like 20 feet in the air, and caught it! Elton, well he had a shiny emerald green jacket. That thing probably blinded the people up close because we were far away, and it was still bright. My third concert was Nickleback, and Bon Jovi, not together, Nickleback played first. In Giant's Stadium! (The seats still sucked, but Nickleback was cool.)
General Ceyrox
I really wanted to go to the Blink-182 concert September 18, but it sold out so fast! My friend got to go. Fallout Boy and The All American Rejects were there too! My friend also said Travis Barker played the drums upside down over the crowd!
Lord Kaen
Fallout Boy and All-American Rejects?
T-T lucky..
Heartless Banryx
Yeah but the said the AAR sucked.
Lord Kaen
Ugh, Sonic theme songs are really good...lol
I can't stop listening to Dreams of an Absolution. It's soothing. Gives you a questioning feeling...sorta like -Ozone- does
NS_Venom
HA! I knew someone here would enjoy them as much as me. Though, I haven't heard that one. I'm really into songs from the Adventure games. Oh, on a sort of off topic note, this is the song Bunnies and I wanted to use for our Sonic Adventure 3. Yes, we came up with a video game, and we never sent the stuff to Sega. It sucks that its too late for another Adventure game.
And I've liked Sonic songs for a couple years, just haven't listened to some in a while. .-.
NS_Venom
Whats your favorite? I can't decide between Knuckle's theme from Sonic Adventure, (it has DX in the title in the U.S.), or...Dang, I actually forgot the name of it. I'll find it later and post it.
Lord Kaen
mine's probably His World (Zebrahead remix) Dreams of an Absolution (the first remix) Or What I'm Made of.
NS_Venom
Ah, all the new game songs. The only one I own is Sonic Unleashed, and I'm having a tough time keeping an interest in it. However, the stages do have some catchy tunes.
General Ceyrox
Well, I'm not big on game music, but I can tell you that LOZ destroys all others!
Heartless Banryx
That's true, award winning, too. That series has what is considered the best soundtrack of all time by Famitsu magazine, as well as won many achievements. I love that game's music.
Dread Abyss
My first concert went great! We had rather good seats considering that the rows close to the bands were only available to contest winners or friends of the bands. The sound took a while to get used to and I heard a ringing after long after we left, but I managed to stop putting my hands over my ears by the time Shinedown came on. All three bands sounded great and they were interesting during the intervals between songs when they just talked. Puddle of Mudd did some odd profanity-ridden speach which lead to them playing a Black Sabbath song. Although I thought the lead singer of Shinedown's voice sounded surprisingly high, he still sounded good and Shinedown's still one of my favorite bands.
---
Videogame music usually isn't that interesting, especially Oblivion's music; however, certain videogames have pretty fun tunes such as Mario and, yes, Zelda. Maybe for fun I should post a video of a school band holding a concert consisting of songs from popular videogames. One of the kids sang the Halo theme.
Heartless Banryx
No, I'll pass, thanks.
Dread Abyss
Derp...
Alright, well I suppose more people should be adding their favorite songs.
Lord Duality
Best song ever is when Billy Joel did Piano Man LIVE for his 12 Gardens Tour. It is epic. I also like "It's still rock and roll to me."
Dread Abyss
Didn't Billy Joel steal the name Navy Davy from a sailor he met in a bar and later killed?
