Coupl'a GamesInstead of making several topics about all of these I thought I'd just put them all together here.
Aliens Vs. Predator 3: The third in the successful AVP franchise by Rebellion, the games allow you to take control of the xenomorphs from the Alien franchise, the Colonial Marines from Aliens, and the predator from the Predator movies. The three classes differ and have their own strengths and weaknesses. The Colonial Marines are standard FPSs with a lot of firepower and their campaign is similar to a survival horror. The xenomorphs power lies in their numbers, stealth, and acidic blood; they use their tail, claws, and mouths to attack. The predator boasts strength and utilizes technology such as a cloaking device (though xenomorphs can still "see" it), a shoulder cannon capable of locking onto targets and blowing them to bits, and it uses wrist blades for melee. The game has impressive graphics (I'm using a picture from the game as my avatar), a three-way storyline, and works online. It's for the PS3, 360, as well as PC and I believe it's rated M because of blood, language, and mutilation.
Borderlands: A first person shooter RPG that takes place in a desolate barren planet full of dangerous alien wildlife, bandits, and a "treasure". The game has a large array of weapons, there's almost a million guns so there's bound to be a weapon right for everyone, and you can level up yourself and your weapons. There are four character classes each with a special ability and you can customize your character's appearance, earn credits to buy armor and upgrades, as well as choose your own name. The game has vehicles so you can get across the large and dangerous world more efficiently and you can customize the vehicles. The game has split screen co-op so you can do the story with a friend at home or use the online co-op that allows you to bring your character into another person's existing game and play the game together. The online co-op supports up to four people and won't disrupt your current story progress, in fact you can redo quests you've already done if the person you're online with hasn't done the quest yet.
