With the success of the last competition (congrats Banryx) I have decided that we probably need another one.

If anyone has a goos suggestion I'll take it. Otherwise we'll probably have a Valentines theme competition.

a.k.a. tryingto start before the competition starts. and I think the valentines one would turn a bit to a calamity. should we lock the previous competition and archive it?

We need more though. Once we have about 5 we'll get a quick vote and find out what is going to happen next. If anyone really hates these ideas the (Valentines Day one is getting a bit of hate) then I will take them down.

Okay, do this:
Lock the old one
Create a new board at the bottom of the home page called "archived"
Unglobal-ify the old one
Move the old one to the archived board.
(then rename it something like OE Competition #1)

That's a good way to keep it organized. Also, we can keep other archived threads there, too.

and it's not that I don't like the valentine's day one, but how would we judge it? Lo, I don't have any suggestions now.

Stuff like that. I can't believe you don't know what a pickup line is. Just proof homeschooled kids don't learn simple social things.

I didn't say they're important. But it doesn't hurt to know them. And you not knowing that just means that you probably don't know what a lot of other things are. I'm sure that eventually, all of those will be important. And not that knowing it will save your life or anything, but say you and your friends have a contest what is the worst pick up line, and you don't know what one is. It could save you some major embarrassment. Not that much, I'll admit, but it's still best to avoid.

I seriously doubt that most of my friends would be interested in anything relating to "pick-up lines." Honestly, if any girl says one to me in the next 12 years and she isn't joking, I'll probably dump her (or tell her to burn in you-know-where, if she isn't my GF).

If we do the contest I think there should be a rule from anything to sexual, like that pants one.

The point of having the contest was to make very awkward pickup lines.

Anyways, I think we need EM to vote. He can break the tie or make a bigger tie by voting for a pickup line.

It's a line a guy says to a girl in order to get her to like him or go out with him. Or, as Banryx demonstrated, it could also be a gesture. They usually suck.
