I assume you can also talk about the upcoming sequel in this topic, so I'll say that I think the sequel looks great and I'll be buying it for sure. Assassin's Creed doesn't look as good, but I might still rent it. Should I rent it?

I'm looking forward to it. (EXTREMELY obvious if anyone was here when I kept making new avvies for it like every day.) I would rent it, but its your choice, so why do you ask? My reasons to rent it would be really just to remember/learn the controls again, and the story.

I'd rent it if I were you Abyss, frankly I would, but don't care enough. I think I'll get the second though, it looks like a huge improvement.

Yes, it seems we're all looking forward to it--Setrius especially. I was thinking of renting another game called Demon's Souls that just came out. It got great reviews and it's an action RPG, but I'm not sure enough about it to actually buy the game from Gamestop. Apparently none of the retailers around here have the game in stock, however, so I'll just wait four days for Borderlands and maybe I'll rent Assassin's Creed sometime around November.

I'll start saving up for it, considering I just got Uncharted 2, it might take me a little. I'll probably get it in a few weeks.

I'm going to start selling some of my older games to Gamestop, perhaps I can use the money to not feel poor when I buy Borderlands & Assassin's Creed II.

Oh, do you know how that all works? I want to sell my old games as well, but they aren't really clear on how much you get for stuff, or even how to do it for that matter.

Dang. I like Gamestop, but sometimes they're really irritating. Well I'll try to find out how much I can get from my old games at Gamestop and if it sucks I'll try Gamecrazy.

Alright, I'll be going to Gamestop tomorrow to buy Borderlands so I'll ask them then. That is unless there's another place that sells Borderlands right now.

AC: Lineage seems like it could be pretty cool, I especially like the rendering they added.

Gamestop, is very disappointing. They make a very large profit from buying games for cheap. Since most people are too lazy to sell games on Ebay or Craigslist for a decent profit, Gamestop gives you the option of selling them immediately, but for virtually nothing. A Wii game might sell for 7 bucks, and if the game manual is inside you get like an extra 2. If you have like five games, you can make a decent profit I suppose.

My older brother has sold some of his crappy games for $2. The most expensive thing I've ever sold was a special Master Quest edition of Ocarina of Time for the gamecube, and I got like 20 bucks for it, but it was only winnable in a contest.

If you're patient, Ebay's the way to go, if you're not, Gamestop. It's simple, for the most part.

Assassin's Creed II sounds better each time I read about it, especially recently when I found out that you can own a town. By owning the town you get discounts from stores and you can do certain side quests there.

November 20th, which isn't that far away. The game looks great and I love the customization that's been added; upgradable armor, cloak color, weapons, gadgets, disguises, and something else that hasn't been revealed yet. Also, did you know that Nathan Drake's voice actor also does Desmond Miles's voice?

If that's true then Desmind will have some great dialogue I bet!

I assume Desmind is the character of Assassin's Creed? I haven't really followed the characters or the story, I just love how the game looks. It requires you to think about how your going to kill everyone, and get away without a scratch!

Plus, I love customizing my character.

Customization sure is great, though I'd like if there were more customization for the armor. I hope there will be more cutscenes like the E3 trailer because those graphics are outstanding.

Also, Kristen Bell does the voice of Lucy, a modern assassin that helps Desmond learn to be an assassin.

Could someone help me out? My parents don't really want me to play this game. However, they said they'd think about it! So I need some help convincing them to let me play. Basically, whats the game content? Abyss, you could help me tomorrow if you come to the park.

Well we talked about it and the inappropriate content is the violence, blood, prostitutes that you can hire and who wear very revealing corsettes (you can see their ankles!), and there's probably just a little profanity. Your age is probably the best leverage you have for playing an M game.

Also, you just about nailed it saying its profane. You know, it probably didn't help that she witnessed a brutal beating at the baseball game the other night. (Three guys stomping and kicking a guy that was already down, and beaten.) And out of a crowd around 50 people or so, only her and two others did something...I learned also that shes disturbed by how graphic it is...Well, shes going to research it somehow, and make up her mind. Question is, what would she come across that will make the answer a definite "no".

Yeah, I was joking about the ankle thing. There is nothing too revealing. Anyway that does sound pretty awful, sorry that happened. The only thing that I can think of that would make her decide that you can't play the game would be the violence and the resulting blood. However, Ezio isn't killing innocent people; he's killing the corrupt politicians (politician might not be the right word) that killed his father and brothers. The guards willingly follow their cruel leaders so they'll get no sympathy from you.

Well, I guess I still have about a 50-50 chance then. Btw, theres this add on youtube about Assassin's Creed movies/episodes. Real actors, playing the characters from the game.

Well, I didn't watch it myself since you got to confirm you want to watch it. I only saw a preveiw for episode 1, but yeah, it might be good. I'm going to wait a bit before my next attempt to convince my mother.

I heard about Lineage awhile ago, therefore I watched the episode. Turns out it was actually pretty interesting, though parts of it were confusing.

The Lineage? Sure, I just told her about how they were making it, and how I found it funny. Other than that, she hasn't seen anything, or heard anything about it. Basically, she knows next to nothing about it. However, I will bug her about the game one or two more times before I leave.

The White and Black Editions. Yeah, I've seen the advertisements at the end of some of the videos. I think they both come with a model of Ezio, with a black cloak in the Black Edition, and they have a map of the locations you can visit as well as a disc containing the game's music. I'm not sure if they both have the special bonus locations or if only one edition has 'em. 'Tis too expensive for my taste. When are you returning from Japan?

The bonus content is three extra locations. & I believe the Palazzo Medici is one of those locations. Anyway if your mom decides that you can get the game do you want me to preorder it for you? You could pay me back when you got the money.

I don't know, the odds aren't looking too great...However, I did learn that they think the trailer is the actual graphics. If I can convince them with an actual gameplay video, do you think I could change the odds to my favor? (Btw, I was going to use this one.)

Assassin's Creed II would be incredible if those graphics were present throughout the whole game. I expect, however, that those graphics will only appear at the beginning, the climax, and the end of the game. If you show them that the gameplay isn't as violent or bloody as the trailer than you'll have a better chance, therefore my answer is yes.

Apparently ACII takes place almost 300 years after the first game. Also, it has a total of 200 missions to play. That makes me happy. I hate games I can beat in a day!

Likewise. Games that only take a day to beat are usually fun while they last, but not worth over $50 and the surprisingly high scores they receive from critics. That's why I hated Batman: Arkham Asylum. ACII probably won't take a day to beat, but I doubt it'll take over a week.

Thats one thing that I like about it is that it, like you said, long enough to be worth the 50 dollars, but short enough that you are not sick of it by the end.

I'm practically done trying to convince them...However, I have well over 100 dollars, so perhaps I'd buy it on my own. I really, really want to play this game. Please, I'm begging someone for any ideas.

I found that out two days ago and thought I might tell someone about it, but it appears I've been beaten to it. I was experimenting with different colors and I ended up with a nice black. I suppose you chose blue.

Setrius has ACII and I was watching his brother play it. It looks really cool. There are a lot of upgrades and at one point you're Altair, but only for a short time. AI still seems stupid, though, such as seeing a person scream, "Please don't kill me!" while deliberately climbing a rooftop to get to you, and then running away.
